Who we are
Matthew Aylard AI Consultancy Ltd (trading as MattAI) is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17242395. What we collect and why
We hold business contact details (name, role, email, phone), correspondence, and records of the work we do for clients. We use this information to deliver our services (performance of a contract), to run the business — invoicing, accounting and record-keeping (legal obligation and legitimate interests) — and to respond to enquiries (legitimate interests). We do not buy marketing lists or sell personal information.
Client systems
Where our work involves access to a client's IT systems, we act on that client's instructions under the terms of our engagement. The client remains the controller of personal data held in their systems.
Who we share it with
Service providers who support the business — email and productivity (Google Workspace, including Gemini AI assistance within it), AI assistance used in delivering our work (Anthropic, on a commercial plan whose terms prohibit training on our content), accounting, hosting and secure remote-access tooling — under their own contractual safeguards; our professional advisers; and authorities where the law requires. Some providers process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK's approved safeguards (such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum).
How long we keep it
Records supporting our accounts and tax are kept for six years after the end of the relevant financial year. Correspondence and engagement records are kept for as long as they are needed to deliver and support the work, then deleted.

This website does not set analytics or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email m@mattai.ai and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have used your personal information, you can complain directly to us at m@mattai.ai. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and respond without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). We are registered with the ICO.
